Q: Will Written Wall Decals adhere to all paints?
A: The matt vinyl (Oracal 631) I use is the ideal vinyl for painted surface, but this vinyl will not stick to the following types of paint. VOC free paint, Low-VOC paint, All “Green” environmentally friendly paints and some paint and primer in one paints cause issues with sticking. Please check what kind of paint you have on your wall before placing your order. Use the regular water base paints on your walls for the best results when applying wall vinyl.
Q: What types of surfaces can Written Wall Decals be applied to?
A: Wall Decals can be applied to just about any clean, smooth, and weather-resistant surface that is free of dust, grease, or other contaminates. They may not adhere to heavily-textured surfaces, but can adhere to lightly textured walls. Do not apply to brick, stucco, concrete block, suede paints, and sand paints.
Q: Will it all be on one big sticker with a clear background?
A: NO, Each vinyl letter is precision cut and pre-spaced, so there is no background, and all the letters are arranged perfectly for you. All of the Written Wall Decals offered are made from high quality matt vinyl. Do not make the mistake of buying the cheep imitation ones that are printed on a solid clear backing that you find on other websites and ship from China.
Q: How long will Written Wall Decals last after it has been on the wall?
A: Written Wall Decals are not intended for permanent application; however, they can last for years depending on the surface and environment. Indoor decals can last significantly longer than statements applied outdoors where they are exposed to weather. The high quality vinyl we use has been rated to last 3 years outdoors – and will last much longer indoors.
